STEM Journey Analysis Survey for Schools

WHAT IS THIS?

This self-paced survey was created by the STEM Educator Network in partnership with the ESCs of Indiana and the Indiana Department of Education to help determine where schools are within their unique STEM journey in order to collectively meet the STEM needs of Indiana schools and educators.

WHAT IS THE STEM EDUCATOR NETWORK?

The STEM Educator Network is a collaborative partnership between the 9 regional education service centers (ESCs) of Indiana and the Indiana Department of Education (IDOE). This statewide initiative is designed to support and connect STEM educators from within and across regions of Indiana in an effort to provide collaborative networking and engagement opportunities.

WHO SHOULD USE IT?

This survey is designed to be completed by a school leadership team with a comprehensive knowledge of STEM related happenings, instructional pedagogy & practices, initiatives and methodologies being utilized within the school’s formal and informal education settings.

WHY SHOULD MY SCHOOL USE THIS?

Schools will receive a copy of their survey results which may provide a comprehensive view of where they currently stand within STEM best practices, as aligned to the IDOE STEM priorities & goals. This information could be used to guide next steps in their unique STEM journey. Upon completion, schools may also receive communication regarding opportunities for support within the self identified areas of need from members of the STEM Educator Network. Additionally, the information gathered will allow for ESCs to offer services aligned to your school’s unique STEM needs and goals.

HOW WILL THE INFORMATION BE USED?

The STEM Educator Network will utilize this information to align professional development offerings and resources to the needs of their regional schools in order to support their STEM efforts and goals.
