Julie Beaty has been in education for the past 17 years. She has a very diverse and rich background. She has served as a classroom teacher to many deserving students in a large, urban school district. Over the past year, she has transitioned to the Indiana School for the Blind as a 5th grade blind and low vision teacher. She is super excited about her new role for the 2021-2022 school year as an instructional coach. She has earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Indiana University Purdue University at Indianapolis. She also holds a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction as well as her Educational Leadership and Administration Degree from Indiana Wesleyan. She is a current candidate of the PASS (Promoting Achievement for Students with Sensory Loss) Project at Indiana State University. She is also the Founder and President of her own non-profit, Camp OPP, Inc. Julie is passionate about giving her students experiences that go beyond the walls of the classroom. She takes pride in creating meaningful relationships with her students where they feel empowered to achieve personal success.
